RI HISTORICAL SOCIETY SEEKS BLACK HISTORY ARTIFACTS
APRIL 15, 2015 The Rhode Island Historical Society has launched an ambitious project to tell the story of Rhode Island’s blacks in the 20th century, funded in part by the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities.
TD CHARITABLE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS KIDS READING ACROSS RHODE ISLAND
The Rhode Island Council for the Humanities has received a $12,602 grant from TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank® to support Rhode Island Center for the Book’s Kids Reading Across Rhode Island, a summer reading initiative for students in grades 3-6 that encourages students across the state to read one particular book and engage in community discussions and programs.
