Reading Across Rhode Island – An Afternoon with Bryan Stevenson

Reading Across Rhode Island, now in its 15th year, is an engaging, state-wide community read program of the Rhode Island Center for the Book at the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities. On April 8, 2017 Bryan Stevenson, author of the 2017 Reading Across Rhode Island selection Just Mercy, will give a keynote lecture about the value of proximity in encouraging empathy and mercy in our criminal justice system.

The lecture will take place at 2:00 PM, with the opportunity for book signing after the lecture. Doors open at 1:30 PM.
