The Gamm Theatre presents a post-show discussion with mental health care professionals Dr. James Sullivan and Dr. David Savitzky following the 7pm showing of 4:48 Psychosis. Show attendance is encouraged but not required. Discussions are free and open to the public.
From January 14 - February 7, 2010, The Gamm Theatre is hosting the Rhode Island premiere of 4:48 Psychosis. From the brilliant, controversial and short-lived career of British Playwright Sarah Kane, 4:48 Psychosis offers an illuminating window into one woman's struggle with depression. Gamm Artistic Director Tony Estrella directs Resident Actor Casey Seymour Kim with Gamm regular Tom Gleadow in perhaps the most intimate exploration of mental illness ever to be staged. Captivatingly raw and poetic in its intensity, Kane's fifth and final play is "as compact and beautiful as a diamond," says Time Out (London).
Tickets are $24, $28, & $40 depending on day/time. Discounts for students, seniors, and groups of 10 or more.
