Ana Flores publishes first issue of Vision newsletter

Local artist Ana Flores publishes first issue of Vision: a newsletter documenting her interviews with the stewards of protected land in Rhode Island.

In the Spring of this year RICH awarded local artist Ana Flores a grant in support of her project entitled Earth Portraits: Collecting and Sharing the Stories of the Land. In Earth Portraits she proposed to create visual and narrative portraits to preserve the stories she planned to collect from six local stewards whose land is protected under the Charlestown Land Trust.

In July Flores published the first issue of Vision; a newsletter to share with the community the interviews that she had conducted. The newsletter is available at the Charlestown farmer’s market and features a local in-season recipe each month.
