Annu Palakunnathu Matthews
Annu Palakunnathu Matthew is a distinguished photographer (www.annumatthew.com) and a professor of photography at the University of Rhode Island. Her work has explored how people from different cultures understand and experience intercultural exchange. Over the past decade, her work has been exhibited around the world and is now included in public collections in India, Canada and the U.S., including the collection of the Rhode Island School of Design Museum. She has received numerous grants and fellowships, including most recently, the prestigious MacColl Johnson Fellowship through the Rhode Island Foundation, has published widely, and has served as panelist for a variety of symposia.
