Being Connected: "Community in Conversation" Forums, Documentary and Local Short Film Series

In 2007, RICH and Rhode Island PBS co-produced a six-part series asking scholars, community leaders and filmmakers to reflect on how Rhode Islanders are connected in ways we do not typically consider. Where and how are Rhode Islanders gathering? Through our interactions, both voluntary and involuntary, what do we learn about each other? Where are new communities emerging? As part of this inquiry, we broadcast four locally produced short films paired with national feature-length documentaries and two moderated on-air "Communities in Conversation" forums.
