PPS Tour of Smith Hill

For over a century, the Smith Hill neighborhood has been home to immigrants arriving from Ireland, Poland, Lithuania, Armenian, Nigerian, Cambodian, Laos, Guatemala, and Mexico, to name only a few. While many of the houses in Smith Hill were constructed for the earliest immigrants, the community we find today reflects the cultural identity of those who have lived in Smith Hill in the intervening period. Join Keith Morton, Providence College Professor of Public & Community Service, and Jean Lamb, Executive Director of the Smith Hill Community Development Corporation, as we explore the places and people who made Smith Hill into what it is today.
