The Jamestown Community Chorus presents “Silver Bells”

The 50-member Jamestown Community Chorus presents “Silver Bells”
a holiday concert featuring seasonal favorites such as “Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming,” “Silver
Bells,” “What Cheer” plus numerous lesser- known carols from the British Isles including “Yule
Fires” “Lirum Lirum” and the “Gower and Malpas Wassails.” The program also includes
Mendelssohn’s eight-part “Heilig” (Holy), sung in German and English and Gaudete’s rousing
“Sing We all Rejoice.” The concert will conclude with a sing -along followed by the moving “Light
One Candle” by former Peter Paul & Mary member, Peter Yarrow. Several selections will have
percussion and other instrumental accompaniment.

Tickets are $15, $10 for seniors (65+) and children. Tickets are available through chorus
members, at Baker’s Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware and the Secret Garden, at the door, or
