Sheldon Horowitz, the main character of Norwegian by Night, falls into this category. But, as we learn, Sheldon, a Korean War sniper, watchmaker, husband, father, and New Yorker is as unique as his experiences. Join Sylvia Ann Soares for an illustrated presentation on Eddie Soares, jazz pianist and solo performer of the twentieth century. Edwin Jose Soares (1913-1993) was a 1st generation Cape Verdean Rhode Island pianist. Eddie was renowned for his stride to cocktail style in solo performances, and for over 35 years, his work with Tony Tomasso’s Jewels of Dixie. Sylvia Ann also shares Eddie’s music. FREE
