The Rhode Island Council for the Humanities’ annual Celebration of the Humanities event recognizes leadership, creative achievement, innovation, and scholarship. This year Celebration will be hosted as a virtual event on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Join us online as we honor Onésimo T. Almeida, PhD, Mixed Magic Theatre, the Rhode Island COVID-19 Archive, and Becci Davis.
The virtual event will feature interviews with each of this year’s honorees; a roundtable discussion moderated by Joe Wilson, Jr., 2019 recipient of the Public Humanities Scholar Award; an exciting online auction; and some fun surprises for our sponsors.
