Asian American History Symposium for Public School Teachers at Rhode Island College

Cultural Society will present an academic symposium for public school teachers who teach social studies or ELA as it relates to history. This symposium will also serve as professional development for social studies teachers to give them the resources and equip them to teach Asian American history to their students in the years to come, as it is required by RI law that AAPI history will be taught in all primary and secondary public schools starting in September 2023.

We want to accommodate all the teachers.  Please register early as soon as the registration begins. Please mark it on your calendar for this rare opportunity!
