In “Bending Genre: Writers in Conversation,” three writers discuss how their work bends, complicates, disrupts, and redefines traditional genre distinctions, including historical fiction, memoir, biography, young adult, and fantasy. Kate Wells (Rhode Island Collection Librarian, Providence Public Library) will moderate. Panelists include MT Anderson (Symphony for the City of the Dead: Dmitri Shostakovich and the Siege of Leningrad); Mary Cappello (Life Breaks In: A Mood Almanack), and Dawn Paul (The Country of Loneliness).
