Celebrate the Grand Opening of a new literary arts center with LitArts RI (formerly What Cheer Writers Club). Stop by on Sat, June 24, from 4-7 pm for a free, open-door celebration of this new community resource where Rhode Islanders can connect, create and share their work—all in a safe, welcoming, air-filtered, and accessible environment.
Mingle with local authors and patrons of the arts over small bites, enjoy guided or self-guided tours of the new space, try out the mics in the podcast studio, and support this year’s literary arts programming with drink tickets for a glass or two from Bottles Fine Wine.
Guided Tours:
5 pm: Design Tour with architect and designer behind the space
6 pm: Literary Arts Tour to learn how local authors, illustrators, and podcasters can cultivate their creative practice in the new space
Located at 400 Harris Ave, Suite E, in the flourishing Valley neighborhood of Providence, the community workspace includes a training room for workshops, writing nooks, podcast studio, local author library, and an event space.
