Please join Wanderground Lesbian Archive/Library on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 6:30 pm in the Fleet Library’s Living Room for a Panel Discussion to correspond with the current first floor exhibit: Understanding and Appreciating Lesbian Lives through Craft and Art, a collaboration between Waderground Lesbian Archive/Library and Fleet Library’s Archives and Special Collections. *The exhibit is on view through November 30, 2024.
This talk will feature Mev Miller, Instigator/Lesbrarian and founder of Wanderground, Gail Cohee, retired director of Brown University’s Sarah Doyle Women’s Center and RISD lecturer, and Leo Lovemore, Librariean for History, Society, and Culture at the Brown University Library, moderated by Fleet Library’s Instruction and Outreach Librarian, Special Collections Angela DiVeglia. Panelists will share stories and histories behind the materials on exhibit from Wanderground Lesbian Archive/Library and related items from the Fleet Library collection, and will discuss the ways these materials — from the past into the present — continue to play vital roles in building connections among Lesbian and queer peoples.
