Located just north of College Hill, Doyle Avenue is composed of several mid-to-late-nineteenth century multifamily residences characteristic of working class dwellings in southern New England. Named for Providence Mayor Thomas A. Doyle, the corridor exhibits the period’s diversity of architectural styles with Italianate, Second Empire, and Queen Anne buildings. Join architect Stephanie Zurek as she walks us through the diversity of building types and discusses how Doyle Ave might be further enhanced in the future.
