Join the opening celebration of Coming to Rhode Island, a playfully reimagined exhibit at Providence Children’s Museum! Embark on an interactive time-traveling adventure through the exhibit’s transformed “time tunnel” to learn about Rhode Island’s immigration history. Explore an imaginative new gallery that highlights the story of an Irish immigrant who helped build Fort Adams, and join the Fort’s construction crew. Discover an array of intriguing hands-on activities that explore culture and diversity and encourage empathy. In celebration of the exhibit, also join special programs exploring construction and Irish culture in November and December – create Celtic knots, build with bricks, engineer tunnels, and more!
Providence Children’s Museum is open Tuesday – Sunday and Monday school holidays from 9 AM to 6 PM and select Fridays until 8 PM; exhibit is free with Museum admission of $9.00 per person.
Museum is open free to the public on Friday, November 18 from 5 – 8 PM for MetLife Family Friday, sponsored by MetLife Foundation.
