RARI Speaker: History of Naval Aviation

As part of the RARI + EnRICHment Program, Commander Timothy Urban will discuss the history of naval aviation and its historical links to the “The Wright Brothers,” the 2016 RARI title. CDR Urban will detail how the US government capitalized on the power of flight from the early 1900s through WWII and the 21st Century. Connecting the narrative to Rhode Island, Urban will also touch on naval aviation at Quonset Point and the U.S. Navy’s history in Narragansett Bay. Please register by calling 294-3306.
