The RHODE ISLAND PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY will hold its annual meeting at Brown University on October 26, 2019 in Smith-Buonanno Hall, Room 106 (95 Cushing Street, Providence, RI 02912).
Our program this year features Charlie Crerar (University of Connecticut) who will present “Intellectual Charity and Epistemic Paternalism.” Our Keynote Speaker Paul Guyer (Brown University, Jonathan Nelson Professor of Humanities and Philosophy) will present “Necessity, Contingency and Idealism.”
The Rhode Island Philosophical Society promotes philosophy in Rhode Island and welcomes anyone who has a serious interest in philosophy. RIPS is a non-profit organization which was founded in the 1950s. It is free to anyone who would like to attend, but also welcomes membership dues from anyone who wishes to join the Rhode Island Philosophical Society.
