Join RI Slave History Medallions in celebrating Juneteeth 2023 with a program including Historic Militia Encampment & Demonstrations, a speaking program, Indigenous Cultural Presentations, youth activities, music, food trucks.
Sunday & Monday, June 18 & 19, for an exciting Juneteenth 2023 celebration in historic Washington Square, Newport. RISHM is partnering with the City of Newport, Newport Historical Society, and the Newport Middle Passage Port Marker Project to make it a memorable event.
