Now a decade in the making, Slatersville: America’s First Mill Village will be a 12-episode historical documentary series that has been filmed in seven states and the U.K. Its focus is on the two-hundred-year history of the first industrialized mill village in the U.S., in the heart of the Blackstone Valley, located in northern Rhode Island. Slatersville is being directed by award-winning filmmaker and Slatersville native Christian de Rezendes and will be used to educate and entertain a wide range of audiences, from local families in communities throughout southern New England to students of all ages from around the globe.
