The South County Sampler Initiative is funded by the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities and is collaborating with the Sampler Archive Project to locate, photograph, document, interpret and celebrate Rhode Island’s historic needlework samplers and related girlhood embroideries. The public is invited to bring their antique American samplers and other schoolgirl embroideries to our Sampler ID Days, where they can be registered, documented, and photographed.

AFTERNOON: Appointments and Drop Ins
*Appointments are required for anyone bringing three or more samplers to the Sampler ID Days.
