The Accidental Sisters, a Jamestown-based women’s a capella vocal ensemble, will present their sixth annual concert on Saturday, June 6 at 7:30pm. The performance will be held at the Jamestown Arts Center at 18 Valley Road. Admission to the concert is free but a suggested donation of $10 will help Lucy’s Hearth, an emergency shelter program in Middletown, and Friends of Nepal Pariwar Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to improve health and well being of families in rural Nepal; a critical goal after recent earthquakes.
The concert repertoire ranges from a melody inspired by Hassidic prayer to contemporary “street music” merging rhythms from African, American and Spanish culture. Finding Home will include a selection of poems and a guest set featuring members Cheryl Grelle and Judy Bowles, accompanied by Matt Bowles.
