“Vampires of New England” explores the gradual evolution of vampire mythology from stories of reanimated rotting corpses to the aristocratic Dracula, created by novelist Bram Stoker.
The 55 minute documentary film was directed by Westerly native, Alec Asten. This project is made possible in part by grants from the Rhode Island Council or the Humanities and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.
This screening will take place at the Vampirism in New England…the Dark Ages of Medical Science event at the New England Institute of Technology with special guest Christopher Rondina, storyteller and author of “Vampires of New England.”
