Join our expert data panelists to discuss the findings from our Women’s Well-Being Index launch.
The Rhode Island Women’s Well-Being Index is a multifaceted, composite measure that consists of five “dimensions”: Health, Personal Safety, Employment & Earnings, Economic Security, and Political Empowerment. Each dimension will be composed of six indicators that have been standardized and combined to create dimension scores, on a scale from zero to 100, for each of Rhode Island’s counties. The five dimension scores will create an overall Women’s Well-Being Index score for each county in Rhode Island. This database will be the first centralized source of its kind in Rhode Island.
The panel will be moderated by Paige Clausius-Parks, Senior Policy Analyst at RI KIDS COUNT, and will feature expert insights from:
● Angela Kemp, Director of Prevention and Special Projects at DayOne
● Nishi Kumar, Manager of Policy and Research, RI Housing
● Dr. Deborah Pearlman, Associate Professor of the Practice of Epidemiology, Brown University
