The Rhode Island Council for the Humanities seeks nominations for the 2015 Celebration of the Humanities awards. The theme of the 2015 Celebration is Connect the Dots, focusing on how the humanities create meaningful connections across disciplines and sectors and between people and ideas.
The deadline for submissions is 5:00pm on March 16, 2015.

TOM ROBERTS PRIZE FOR CREATIVE ACHIEVEMENT IN THE HUMANITIES
The Tom Roberts Prize for Creative Achievement in the Humanities recognizes an individual or organization whose work extends the fields of the humanities by blending the wisdom and methods of the humanities in an inventive, original, and imaginative way with topics, disciplines, and formats not ordinarily associated with traditional humanities education.
INNOVATION IN THE HUMANITIES AWARD
The Innovation in the Humanities Award recognizes the innovative implementation of the humanities by an organization to achieve a specific goal or a collaboration beyond their institutional walls in order to achieve a shared vision.
PUBLIC HUMANITIES SCHOLAR AWARD
The Public Humanities Scholar Award recognizes outstanding public humanities work in teaching and scholarship that advance the civic and cultural life of Rhode Island.
Awards will be presented at the Celebration of the Humanities event in October.
