Archival materials from 40 years of Council funded humanities projects are now available online!
Check out the new Digital Library: Special Anniversary Edition, featuring three thematic exhibits: The Lively Experiment, Our Stories, Our Rhode Island, and Place Making.
We are delighted to feature a select number of grant products from over four decades of public humanities projects funded by the Council. Our hope is that the Digital Library will serve as a resource to provide unprecedented access to the comprehensive archives of Council-supported projects.
The project was directed by Elizabeth Francis, Executive Director of the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities. Exhibits were developed from a signature essay by Nancy Austin, PhD featured in RICH’s 40th Anniversary Report. The digitization of archival items and creation of the Omeka site was carried out by Stacie M. Parillo. Additional support was provided by members of the RICH staff: SueEllen Kroll, Carole Ann Penney and Persephone Allen.
