Funds support the development and installation of photo-exhibit that explores the history and cultural impact of Jewish peoples “making aliyah,” by moving from Rhode Island to Israel. A panel of scholars, cultural leaders, and citizens, provides additional context to the subject matter and exhibit.
Mini Gant to Individual Researcher
Taylor Polites, $2,000 to Cathedral Square of Yesteryear
Funds support research exploring the historic development of buildings and public spaces in, and near, Providence’s Cathedral Square. Research culminates in a handmade artistic booklet that shares the complex, and occasionally tenuous, history of this unique public space.
