As Grants & Humanities Initiatives Coordinator at Rhode Island Humanities, Julia supports the community with all aspects of applying for, receiving, and reporting on their public projects and research grants. Julia has a passion for equitable public services and inclusive opportunities for diverse communities. As a lifelong Rhode Islander, Rhode Island Humanities’ mission, vision, and values perfectly align with her personal and professional ideals. Prior to accepting the position as Grants and Humanities Initiatives Coordinator in October 2024, Julia primarily worked in arts nonprofits around the state; most recently, she worked in visitors services and community engagement at the Newport Art Museum. She is a Rhode Island College Alumni having earned her BA in Studio Art and Psychology and she is currently working towards a master’s degree in Museum Studies at the University of Oklahoma.
Julia is a sculptor, reader, and theme party enthusiast, who enjoys eating breakfast sandwiches with her partner and pitbull.
