As part of the #PulitzerinRI Initiative, URI welcomes Pulitzer Prize Winner Margo Jefferson to the Ocean State Summer Writing Conference on June 24. The Humanities Council is proud to announce four distinguished awards to be presented at the 2016 Celebration of the Humanities on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Providence Public Library. The occasion will bring together community and business leaders, government officials, scholars, artists, and Rhode Islanders to raise funds to support the public humanities including culture, history, heritage, and civic education in our state.

Adrian Moore Trask, our talented Development & Communications Manager, will be moving with her family to New Mexico this summer. She leaves her position at the Council to further her career in the fields of the humanities and creative arts management. We will miss Adrian, but we know great things are ahead and look forward to staying connected. We are now accepting applications for a full-time Development & Communications Officer.
