HUMANITIES AT PVDFEST

The Humanities Council is proud to sponsor PVDFest (June 2-5), promoting Providence’s unique arts & humanities communities. Council grantees and partners are featured throughout the festival, and art installations featuring stories, connections, and the humanities will take place throughout the weekend. Don’t miss these public humanities features at PVDFest:

Friday, June 3
Art Tour & Salon: Mary Beth Meehan, 5:30-7:30pm, Coastway Community Stage, with The Providence Athenaeum, co-presented with the Humanities Council
Exhibition: Portals: The History of the Future, 12:30-5:30pm, Providence Public Library

Saturday, June 4
Public Humanities Installation: Dear Past Self: Stories of Self-Reflection by Kara Komprathoum & Madalyn Ciampi, 150 Washington Street, co-presented with the Humanities Council
Public Humanities Installation: Storyography by Alex Braunstein & Kristin Moe, AC+T Stage, co-presented with the Humanities Council
Rhode Island Latino Arts launches Bilingual Rhode Tour, 12-6pm, Providence Public Library
Everett RI’s Freedom Project, 7:00pm, Roger Williams National Memorial
