RI Civic Health Index Survey Now Open – All RI residents invited to participate

April 21, 2022 By RI Humanities

April 21, 2022 – The Rhode Island Council for the Humanities has launched the RI Civic Health Index Survey which is available online and open for public participation. All Rhode Island residents aged 16+ are invited to participate. The 2022 Rhode Island Civic Health Survey is a crucial component of the state’s first-ever Civic Health Index, an initiative led by the Humanities Council in partnership with the National Council on Citizenship and the RI Department of State with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities through the “A More Perfect Union” initiative.

For the purposes of this survey, civic health is broadly defined as community participation and community well-being. The survey should take 10 minutes. Entirely multiple choice, responses will be anonymous. The survey is available in English at: surveymonkey.com/r/RICHI and in Spanish at: es.surveymonkey.com/r/RICHIESP both versions are compatible with screen readers for enhanced accessibility.

Deadline to complete the survey is May 4, 2022 at 5:00 pm EST.

“This survey is one of several data sources that will be used to inform the RI Civic Health Index. The survey was developed by the Humanities Council and has specific focus areas to complement and broaden the data sources that already exist thanks to input from a diverse group of community members and project partners” said Elizabeth Francis, Executive Director of the Humanities Council. “When completed, the RI Civic Health Index will provide baseline context and information about diverse Rhode Islanders’ connections to civic life, and help us to understand where we are and where we’re going, together.”

Visit www.rihumanities.org/program/ri-civic-health-index for details and to complete the survey.
